Bryan;
Just wanted to say thanks, as a long-time poster here. You've left some pretty big riding boots to fill...
Best luck to you and your family.

How about a "changing of the name" at Burgman" USA"? There's a lot of dang furriners on here. Hate to seem exclusive... How about Burgman World? I know name recognition is a big deal - so I'm not really in love with my idea. Just a brainwave. I like our visitors from the third world, like Britain
Motorcycle hell is riding a loud, heavy cruiser shoed with a car tire on the uninspiring interstate highway system. I chose something else.

Just wanted to say thank you for setting up this great site. It's because of this site that I'm a Burgman rider. After many years of riding sports bikes and such. I has an accident that made riding painful. Along with growing older and the various aches and pains that brings, I thought my riding days were over. While searching for an alternative ride. I came across this great site. All the information, riding tips, and just friedly advice got me going again. Now after 5 years and thousands of miles on my Burgman, I don't think I'll ever stop riding. You've left some pretty big riding boots to fill... Best luck to you and your family, and welcome back state side.
To err is human, to forgive devine, unless you're the knuckle-head that just cut me off on the freeway. There are bold riders and there are old riders, but there are no old bold riders.

Thanks Bryan, for your vision & guidance...... this site provided the answers to my decision to get a Burgman, instead of a 250 Big Ruckus...I wanted one so badly, I could taste it...but the Burgman has proven a much better scooter for my needs. THANKS
It is well with my soul.

Greengoose-sorry to hear of your leaving this great forum you created! No pun intended re your recent ear problems. I did have one question, I really enjoyed having Bill Meek on board, he was great and his dog who rode with him too, what happened? JC

Bill is still very much a forum member. He resigned as a 'super admin' because the task of moderator/admin/forum maintenance/server side tasks was just eating far too much of his time and he needed to get on with the rest of his life. In a similar fashion GreenGoose, who was forum owner and hitherto had left the bulk of the task to Bill did not have the time to step into Bill's shoes so to speak and was determined to secure a sustainable future for this wonderful community of Burgman owners and those with a common interest in motorcycling. The new owners have not been in touch with the existing admin and moderating team (so I will be communicating with them!) but I would fully expect them to want to maintain the values we have worked hard to maintain, and what does set this forum apart from the majority of others, a civilised forum where folks enjoy exchanging info free from personal attacks and profanity.

I knew I noticed something different here! It's the lack of personal attacks and profanity and spam that I've been enjoying.

Thanks for everything, for creating a destination, a tool, a repair kit and a culture man. You created something almost living and breathing. Good on you.
And most of all thanks, for the gift of a lifetime. That is still giving.

Bryan, Thanks for all you have done for everyone who owns a Burgman. Riding a Burgman would not have the same pleasure without this site. A lot of us would be lost without it. We also would be lost without the members involved especially Ledude, Buffalo, MJR, just to name a few. The list could go on and on. The moderators who are the Burgman police do a great job of keeping the site clean and without mud slinging. I wish you the very best on whatever path your life's journey takes you on. Dwayn, Get ready, i don't think you yet realize what a diverse group of people are on this forum. They are very dedicated and knowledgeable about their machines. Soon you will end up with the "Burgman grin" like the rest of us.

Is this still correct (didn't think so) or not with the ownership change? If not just thought it should be changed.

Definitely reiterate the previous comments. As one said, I would likely not be nor continue to be a Burgman owner without all the archived and current tips, hints and help this site contains. One of the few topics I do not do general google searches on -- I come here and do site specific searches. Clearly hope this site retains more of its current style and look than the much more ad / commercial / product orientation of the new owners websites (not a diss, just an observation). Hey, they do make nice trike conversion kits for Burgy's -- and in Southern California at that

I poked my head in here today since I started noticing the new ads to see what had changed... Greengoose, hope you don't become a stranger, we will all miss you dearly... Dwaye, welcome to the forum, looking forward to getting to know you better ... all the best to both of you .... and long live BUSA, no matter what shape it takes . very sad to see the end of an amazing era, but nothing is forever, looking forward to the next chapter of this amazing forum, hope it does not become another ad ridden forum with worthless content. there is something to be said about great leadership and those who put so much of themselves into making this forum such an amazing place. I for one shall miss both Bill and Greengoose a great deal. ps: I already hate the ad part of the new format...

I agree Faye! It has slowed down the process of logging in and just changing topics takes longer. Maybe if more folks stepped up and become paid members it would eliminate the needs for these ads! My $.02! Y'all ride safe! Wes
