Where abouts in Ft Worth are you? There are quite a few of us on the east side of Dallas that ride together all the time. Today 4 of us when down to Fairfield for the Two Wheeled Texans pie run. I know there are some folks on the Fort Worth side but I don't think they frequent the board much. You might also want to check out the TWT board. http://www.twtex.com/. There are some Burgman riders in the Arlington area that post on there from time to time. There are also rides and meet ups for all kinds of bikes on there that you might be interested in. Although most of the riders there are on motorcycles of one type or another I've always been welcome at their events when I show up on my Burgman.

Thanks for the info.....we are all on the southwest side of Ft. Worth......and so our rides are mainly south and west....when it cools off some, we do plan on dong the FM 4 run....that is a day ride....like to keep most other rides, counting stops. much shorter. Today we were gone just a couple of hours or so...made a big circle of sorts....went out Old Granbury Rd. to 1902 to 917 to Godley, stopped there for breakfast....171 to Bear Creek, Bear Creek to FM 5 to Aledo, Old Aledo Rd back to Benbrook...which is where I live...anyway we left at around 7:00 am and were back after 9:00am...total distance was around 75-80 miles..we are a small group and welcome anyone who cares to join as outlined in my original post.

I just want jump in and thank Gary for heading up a great ride. I'm really impressed with his knowledge of the great country roads around here. We had a nice mix of scenic hills and twisties on good roads. I can't wait till our next ride. Thanks again Gary.

There are some nice roads over that way. I did the run down 157 from Mansfield to Venus last week on the way home from my brothers in Everman.
Our group makes runs in that direction from time to time. Maybe we can join up with some of you guys one of these days.

I'm in Orlando through Sunday, but it looks like lots of good rides to choose from this Fall. Hope the weather stays cool once I get back. Nice to know the Dallas temps dropped as soon as I boarded the plane out to Florida. Y'all ride safe!

Do you have a route and itinerary that you can post.

We were planning where we were going to go on Saturday and though we might be able to cross routes with you guys along the way if your route allowed it. It would probably be hard for use to meet you at the start of your ride unless you have a fairly late start time. If you are setting up a ride that you think we might be able to link into shoot me a message at my email link. We would need a few days notice though to get our group together and plan a route there. BTW, the Two Wheeled Texan pie run will be at the SmokeStack Restaurant in Thurber this month. Some of us will likely be going and since we will be passing through your area to get there if any of your group has interest in joining up with us let me know. You can find info on the Pie Run at http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63807

Thanks for the info...we will be going Benbrook to Old Aledo Rd to FM5 to Lake Weatherford to 730 to 1186 to 3325 back to Old Aledo Rd back to Benbrook. We will be getting under way between 7:00am-7:30am depending if we eat breakfast first or wait until Aledo. Not a long run, but a fun one....

Our ride Saturday was a success and a good time was had by all.....plus the nice breakfast we had at the Aledo Diner. When we got back to Benbrook, fortunately, none of us were breaking the speed limit as we rode pass the radar speed trap Benbrook had there at the moment....our next ride is Saturday, September 24.

Thanks for another great ride Gary. Personally, I was glad it was a little short. It freed me up to take care of my other hobby....homebrewing. I brewed up two 10 gallon batches after our ride.
