I had ordered the smaller of the two Givi windshields. CompAcc checked with Givi, and they don't expect the shipment from them, until mid-February.

I received the Givi 311A (Large) windshield yesterday and installed it. A very solid install and looks nice. It has been raining continuously since Sunday, so I have not been able to test it out yet. The 311A is a large shield and I will definitely have to look through the shield, which is no problem. It should provide good protection for the body and handle bars (hands).

I took the Honda SH150i out for a spin today, WOW that GIVI 311A shield is perfect. Great body and Hands protection. Just like the GIVI on my Burgman AN400K9 Highly recommended.

I FINALLY got in the Givi windshield for my SH150i. Here's what it looks like with both the Givi E370 and the windshield mounted.

Hello, it's been a while since I posted in this Area. PROBLEM! The GIVI screen on my SH150 has started to melt the control panel (where the Speedometer is) I brought the bike back to the Dealer, and they said it is because of the GIVI Shield, and will not cover it under Warranty. Anyone who bought the GIVI Shield beware.

The windshield acting as a magnifying glass is a pretty common issue with bikes. That's why many riders use a bike cover or windshield cover. Example of a custom made one : An old tshirt or hoodie works pretty well too. All it has to do is block the light. Example of a hoodie made in to a cover :

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang! Thanks for the head's up! I ride mine so rarely that it hasn't been an issue for me. I guess I'll be keeping a white t-shirt under the seat, for those times that I do take it out.

Today I had the SH150 out on the Highway Route 5 north, Orange County, California (65 MPH speed limit) I cruised at 68 MPH for about 20 minutes. The scooter performed flawlessly the whole way. It's amazing that this 153cc Scooter can go that fast!

They come with a Honda top box in the UK. with matching colour and backrest as well.. Such a shame they don't supply this in the States. I also realized you were annoyed by rear drum brakes. Rear is disc brake in the UK. What the?!

All ways for Honda USA to cut the costs. It doesn't help that the value of the US dollar is in the tank. I can't imagine what they'd be charging for this model, had they left it in its original configuration. The current price is already making it a hard sell in this country.

All ways for Honda USA to cut the costs...[/quote] Wouldn't it be cheaper to make all the bikes the same, rather than a special run of drum brake bikes? The new SYM HD-200 Evo has a disk rear brake. We finally got the 150 and the Elite at the local dealer. It's about time. Claude

I finally got the Honda SH150i. After riding the Burgman 400 and 650 they just seemed too big and heavy to me, so I went with the smaller Honda. I found she has plenty of power for around town and will easily keep up with traffic. It is still being broken in but has hit about 70 mph on the highway. She is happier running between 55 and 65 mph. She can hold 45 to 55 mph. on all but the steepest hills. I'm getting 81 mpg. so far, and that has not been gentle riding. It would be nice if she had another 10 or 15 mph in her but for now I'm happy. I had the Honda windscreen installed along with the Honda top case. The windscreen works very well. While riding in 30 to 40 mile per hour winds, the scooter was remarkably stable for a 300 lb. machine.
The under seat storage is not very large, but will hold a gallon of milk with no trouble. I have to ride about a mile on unpaved roads to get to the highway and I find the large wheels and suspension soak up the washboard quite well. She's no dirt bike, but handles all around duties very well. If I had it to do over I would probably get a Givi Top case as I'm not overly impressed with the Honda case.

I've got an SH300i - discs front and rear plus ABS. Fastest indicated speed I've been on it was 91mph and thats with a screen fitted. Have never seen a SH150 over here, just SH125's. Reason probably being that the limit for a learner rider here is 125cc - go over that and you'd need a full bike licence. The SH model over here comes without any sort of screen. I fitted a GIVI 308A screen but needed to trim about 4 to 5" off the top so that I could see over it. I'm 5'11" I find the SH more suited to commuting as its a tad easier to squeeze between two lanes of stationary traffic on the skinny roads we have over here. When I've been using my Burgie for a while and jump on the SH, it's like getting on a mini moto and my knees feel like they're up next to my ears!

Steve: I'm sure there are a lot of folks on this side of the pond that would love to get their hands on the SH300i. We can always hope that Honda will bring it our way sometime soon. What gas mileage are you seeing with the SH300i? I assume under seat storage is limited, especially compared to a Burgman. Anyway enjoy, the two great scoots!
