Any hints about the replacemtn process. I read the explanation for the Clearview repacement, but I am befuddled about the rubber nuts and getting them back on.

Gurt - the rubber gizmos are really easy to get in,. Simply start the bolt into the rubber thing and then with a light hit - they pop right in. Good luck with the shield! I love my extra tall GIVI -

Dixie Bob, I just had my dealer order me a Givi shield. They will put it on as part of our deal when I bought the bike. I am curious about how tall the shield really is. I see wher you said you were really pleased with the extra tall Givi. Were you able to order an extra tall or were you following up with the previous posts and saying that it was taller than the supposable 2" over the stock shield? How much taller is your shield? Reading other posts on BUSA I assumed it was only 2"...Thanks, Scott

This should do it
Different Brand, but the process is the same.

Big B got her new shield today. Ordered from Helmet Head last Monday and 7 days later it arrived by UPS. This shield replaced a Clearview large that had broken and went flying at 75MPH. The shield arrived in perfect condition and everything fit perfectly. The Givi is slightly taller than the Clearview large and is optically better without distortion in the viewing areas. The Givi seems to have less flexing at 70 MPH and I did not notice buffering to be any different. I was concerned that without a vent that air flow behind the shield may be minimal but I did not find this to be a problem and air flow was good. Noise is definitely less as I can actually hear the motor and my cell phone which I did not answer and returned the call when I stopped.
At this point with only a 10 mile ride, I am definitely pleased with my new shield. The price I paid for the Givi ($137.70 and free shipping) is a plus as it was less than the Clearview blem price. The Clearview was a decent shield but I feel the Givi is a far better value. That's assuming that it doesn't break and go flying. If that happens, I'll try the Cee Bailey although it is kinda pricey.
