I don't remember the price, but have been totally satisfied with the 52. Big, reliable, perfect color match (silver, the fast one), very handy.

Try http://www.cyclesaddles.com/home/Accessories/givi_monokey.htm for slightly lower prices. I have the V46, I chose it over the E52 because I thought the shape went better with the B650. The lights on the E52 are better if you plan to get the light kit.

I bought the E52NF the light kit is installed by Givi. I wanted the brake lights and the E52 has larger lights than the v 46. All though I like the shape of the V 46 better than the E52. The light did it for me. Cycle saddles had a sale in April and at that time they had the best price I could find.

Very impressive value. Thanks for posting it.

CycleSaddles is THE place to go for GIVI - at least on the east coast. Fast, friendly service and great prices.
I just ordered an AirHawk seat cushion from them and got it in two days.

This is my third E52 w/ Brakelite installed and think its an excellent choice. I paid $295 for the Black E53 w/ Brakelight installed and $85 for the mounting bracket at Twisted Throttle in Peace Dale, RI. I met them at a local bike shop open house and was very impresses with them. Many other in my area can only say good things about them. I picked up my order and met the crew and they are very customer focused!
Web site: http://www.twistedthrottle.com. Took me about two hours to do the installed which includes drilling the tupperware and brake light wiring.

As you can see from the responses this is an individual choice. However, the theme seems to be whatever model you get make sure you get the brake light kit or one that has the lights preinstalled. You can't have too many lights especially in the rear of the bike. I purchased the givi 52 w/light kit and back rest pad. The back rest pad is a must for your partner riding with you. My wife loves it. I would pay the little extra for the softer pad. Comfort is important for your partner. I was told get the biggest case you can because you will find it still isn't enough space on a trip. The 52 givi looks great on the 650. The installation is easy. Plenty of tips on the forum on installation. I hope this helps.

I also have been looking at the J C Whitney box and noticed in your pix that you didn't use a luggage rack. If this is tru how well does it fit to the back area? How did you fasten it to the bike? Also how easy is it to remove and refasten?

It does come with a flat black luggage rack. You can kinda see it under the box. It removes easily just like the Givi. It also come with two mounting brackets for underneath the plastics. I actually used two of the frame bolt screws which I think is specifically for the Givi trunk. I had to make some rubber spacers so not to bend the plastic down when I tightened rack down. My only gripe is that the rack sits right on top of the plastic so in the long run it will scar it. It doesn't have a light kit but I was thinking of ordering those highly visible reflective tape and maybe some of those aftermarket LED brake light kits for motorcycles. I think it is a great find for $79 , free shipping and includes mounting plate & brackets.

I'm asking the same question. I am leaning to the soft one but has anyone tried this one, and any problems with it holding up?

I've got the E460 on the Givi rack. I like the setup. I went with the smaller bag because I did not think that the proportions of the E52 looked good on my old sportbike. That's not really an issue with the scooter 'cause it's bulkier looking anyway.
The latching mechanism on the E52 is kind of involved: turn a key, but not too much, press this and pull that, oh but not that way, and hold your mouth like this.
