Where the bloody hell have you been for 10 months!!? We thought you did not love us anymore!
Hey really sorry to hear of the engine failure - getting a bit worrying this.
So what is the position - did Suzuki stand behind the product and fit a new motor for you? Was it the same failure mode Bill Meek first reported.
How's Tallwoman?
Nice to have you back.

Good reminder and great to hear from ya again Bryna. I had my oil changed by the dealer when having the speedo fixed and the oil was low. Be sure to check your oil level.

Mobil 1 MX4T 10w40, which meets the specs for the Burgman 650 AND transmission, WILL NOT FRY (or freeze for that matter)... as is 100% synthetic.
However, unfortunately, will not protect an engine one has let RUN OUT of oil!

Hey Norman and Bill,
Of course I still love you--what's not to love?
I've been busy and rarely online lately. Been working long hours on a new project; spending time with our new cat (Skye), spending time with one of our 16-year-old cats (Bunter), who's had some serious dental problems (his rap name is now MC 2-Fang ), etc.
The Tall One is doing well--she has a class with ZenDan.
We got out last Saturday for the first time since December, and boy did that feel great!!
What've you all been up to? (Besides no good, of course.)
Cheers,
Bryna

Bill, please tell me you aren't using those bungy cords to train her!
Oh! And how long does it take to get her geared up?
Would that be Fieldsheer or Aerostich?

Nope! Not beat her with a bungy cord ..... yet. Selias wrote:Oh! And how long does it take to get her geared up?
5 seconds for the Doggles. Much faster than I gear up by far!

Bill,
How big is Sandy?
Lynn says we should try carrying our young Maine Coon mix in a carrier on the bike. Skye aka Little Bit has a good, mellow personality so it might work.
What kind of rig do you have for her?

I meant to hold her down (like you have currently for the carrier)
Seriously though, aren't you a little worried about a bump/pothole/etc. separating her from the scoot? I love your pics, btw. Just fuzzy on how you are training her to ride pillion.

Sandy's 55 pounds and pretty big these days. I've gone thru a couple of different boxes that can be seen on her website : http://www.sandythedog.com In trying out the Clearview prototype, I wanted to 'get the box out of my back' so I removed it and put the buttrest back on with the extender. Since the box was off, I had the idea to try her out on the back seat since there's not that much difference in the seat and the box since the box only has 10 inch walls. We tried riding around at slow speeds in the yard, moved to the parking lot across the street, and then moved to the open road. There's not that much of a difference in the ride as far as she's concerned. The major advantage is that the seat doesn't allow her to move side-to-side as much. With her weight, she could shift me a good 2 feet on the road bouncing back and forth. On the downside, not having the width of the box doesn't allow her to comfortably lay down while I'm doing other things. I'm waiting on one of the local amish to finish a leather seat pad that has a leather wall. I'll post pics once it's done.
