Leather Brake Lever Covers

Postby MarilynsPrince » Sun Aug 05, 2012 16:30 16

I ride where it gets pretty hot all summer long. Temperatures upward of a 100 degrees regularly. I have fingerless gloves I use when it's hot. But since my scooter is outside all the time, the brake levers get really hot. I went to the local Harley shop and bought some leather brake lever covers. What a difference! They have fringed end ones as well, but I like the look of these better.

I used lever covers on my cruiser and Wing.
I liked the extra grip they provided, especially on the clutch lever with fingerless gloves.
It's adviseable to put a strip of double sided tape on the front of the lever when installing the covers to eliminate any slip thjat may occur over time.
Also available in different colours here.

They lace up real tight. No slipping so far. They still get hot, but not nearly as hot as the metal levers. The double sided tape is a good idea. If they start to slip I'll give it a try.
