I tried two different browsers and couldn't see anywhere on the page of how to order anything. Yet, I could see a link to my "Cart".

I even created an account there and still don't have the option to add anything to the cart. Guess they don't want to actually sell anything. http://www.flashequipment.com/index.cfm ... ini-24.cfm

I actually went into the store to buy it. It costs $79. The flasher unit is imbeded in the wiring. On their website it is listed under "New items" on their second page. The picture shows the light in yellow. If you call them and order the part number NV LED24-R you will get the red stop light.

It fits perfect in the recessed area for the old reflector. It is not sold in motorcycle stores or even advertised on the internet. I found it thanks to another Burgman rider in a shop for police and ambulance trucks electrical equipment store. The company that sells it is Flash Equipment Inc. See their website http://www.flashequipment.com Their phone is 800-570-8866. The part number is NV LED24-R. After seeing my stoplight I know of at least 8 other bikers who bought them including a scooter store in Ft. Myers, FL. who bought about a dozen for his Vespa customers. After reading stories about bikers getting rear ended and seeing a You Tube video taken from an overpass of a guy getting rear ended and thrown up in the air over his bike I am paranoia about getting rear ended. This light might save your life.
Anyone have video or pictures of this installed?

After meeting Marv and seeing this light i also went down to flash equipment and bought one. This is the link to the page.. http://www.flashequipment.com/index.cfm ... ts-new.cfm Super LED Mini 24 Product ID: NV LED24. Because i whined about the website and the cart issue he gave me a discount. My total cost was $78. You can order by phone but not by internet. Install was fairly simple. Just tapped into my left brake wires. Biggest pain of course is tuperware removal. In Florida you must have a red light on the back. Yellow and white are illegal. It is not too bright and if i get time i will do a short video. I believe the light has 8 or 9 different flash patterns. I set mine at the store to a double flashing red. It really works awesome. It also fits so well where the reflector goes that it looks like it was a stock item on the bike. I felt it was a little pricey as there are other items that would probably be cheaper. But, what price do you put on your life. There have been a lot of bikers recently in our area rear ended while sitting at a light. 2 that i know of where killed. This product also comes with a 5yr warranty. Be safe....

So, Marv ISN'T a customer - he's the retailer.
The product may be good, or not. But I for one don't like false reviews and other shilling....

Thanks for posting, wonder if there is a way to replace the regular stop/run lights with those, it definatly seems worth the cost now that I've been able to see it in action more or less. I will prob be ordering one just after I get a cover, poor scoots been sitting out in the rain these last few weeks.

This is a bunch of bull. I am not a retailer. I get no gain from telling members about this item. Why are you so negitive. Do you think everyone is trying to rip you off? I just thought it was an item other Burgman owners would like for their bikes. If you saw something worthy wouldn't you tell other riders about it? If you noticed I (Marv) didn't put the U Tube up it was done by Wayneman, one of my 8 friends who purchased the stoplight.

Justpassinthru, Before you hurl accusations about people maybe you should read the entire post. "After meeting Marv and seeing this light i also went down to flash equipment and bought one."Marv is a awesome 80 something year old man who rides a 650 burgman like the rest of us. At this point in his life i would hardly doubt he is worried about making a buck off such a minor mod as a flashing brake light.. Marv was nice enough to meet with me and show me his mods, one of which was his utopia backrest(which i since purchased also). Maybe marv is in bed with Bob from Utopia also?? Just kidding Marv... Look at the video. If you like it buy one, if you don't, simply move on. Wayne JustPassinThru wrote:So, Marv ISN'T a customer - he's the retailer.

Maybe the rules in Mass. are different. Here in Florida, a flashing white tail light will get you a ticket. The last thing we need in Florida is to have a flashing white tail light blinding the already half blind "Qtips" on the road.

Well.in Florida - it seems that most of the drivers are half blind and senile anyway.....SO - what differnce would it make.??? EXAMPLE: My brother's father-in-law who is 94 years OLD - just got a driver's license renewal for another 5 YEARS.........!!!!!! OH MY GOD...!!!

It seemed obvious to me that this was just a helpful recommendation for what looks like a fine product. There are ways to voice doubt without being ugly about it but they are subtle and used by civilized folk. By the way, if one of us makes a superior product I see absolutely nothing wrong with him blowing his own horn a bit...it would be well deserved for a job well done.
I'm going to look into getting myself some of these lights too....they are brilliant.

In AZ, for instance, amber is OK as is red. WHITE LIGHT facing rearward (other than an easily identified license plate, but plate lights do not shine backwards) is a NO GO. DANGEROUS. Period. NO rearward facing white light and NO FORWARD facing RED lensed light. As for the reason "why", that is simple common sense.

Today I got a warning citation from the Florida Highway Patrol. I was minding my own business in traffic when I was flagged down. I asked the officer what I did that was wrong and he said I had an illegal stoplight. I've been riding for months and was never stopped. He thought it was a good idea to have however it was against the law.
I plan to research the law in Florida to see if he is correct. While at a Harley dealership in Ft Myers, FL. I noticed they had on display a very bright LED flashing stoplight as an accessory for their bikes. I will call them tomorrow to see if they have any information about the legality of this light. I was under the impression flashing blue, yellow or white lights in the rear were illegal but red was legal. I hope I'm right. I'll let the forum know when I find out more information.

Couldn't you just wire it up so it acts as a brake light and only lights up when stopping?
