I finally got my Clearview XXL shield (with vent and tint) installed on my 2003 Burgman 400 and I could not be happier. This is a quality product and is everything I thought it would be
I can actually hear the motor purring along at 60+ MPH.
Oh and looking through the shield is no problem for me at all. I actually prefer it as opposed to looking over the top. The only problem is.....the bugs seem to like it as much as I do. I find myself cleaning the shield constantly as the bugs like to make it there final resting place
If you are contemplating a higher shield, I would highly recommend the Clearview as it is a quality product and they are great to work with!

Uspenjp,
How tall are you? I was looking into a clearview xxl with vent. I'm 6' 3" and want to just look over the wind shield. I have an 2008 650 though. I wonder if the height is different for the different bikes. Thanks for the help!

I installed the Clearview XL on my 09 650 Exec. It is 2.5 inches taller than the stock screen. On low, I see over, on high, I see through. Just love it. I'm 6'2".

Received XXL Clearviewvsheild and love it as well. Am 6'3" but have an issue with the shield. The upper left hand corner of the shield is slightly distorted. Not a lot, but it's right where I look through the shield. Makes things move slightly when they are not, especially when I am turning. is a little unnerving sometimes. Am sending a video to Clearviewvsheild tonight showing what Insee. (at least I will try to) Will let everyone know how things go. So far they have been very responsive. Tone continued. BLTN57

I purchase my 650 with the xxl clearview and did not like the problem of looking at the top when riding. I am 6 ft. The windshield has a crack where the screw mounts below the field of vision. I purchased a used tinted xl clearview and it solved my problem. Now I have to find a buyer for my old xxl clearview.

Be careful. My CV XXL finally cracked all the way and is now useless. It started cracking last summer when I was in AZ. I'd repaired it according to detailed instructions, and it did not hold. I had the bike shipped here to OH where I'm at now, and last week, the crack finally gave way (I had it drilled out and thought it was done cracking). I bought it, I think, in the fall of 08, maybe spring 09, and it was the vented XXL. Now it's pretty useless and I took great pains to always ensure it was installed right and so forth. I just took one wind gust too many. Such is life. Right now my OEM windshield is IN AZ with my wife at our house we are prepping to sell there, so now I am riding sans windshield. I installed the Suzuki fascia (screwed it back on) and wire wrapped the nose of it down to the underside of the windshield support to keep it secure.
