You may not have read everything ... search for "rollingbones" as he has posted pictures and a full description of how to run the wire in an Exec mirror. Sorry I don't have the link on hand. I did it the hard way and removed the mirrors. If you do find it, post it here. Good luck!

This looks like the link that you referred to: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=21429&p=197413&hilit=+mirror+exec+lights#p197413But, I'm trying a different approach that replacing the single filament 1156 bulb with a dual filament (1157) bulb -- LED 1156 (single contact) LED bulb with the Magic Blinkers and balancing resistor. I was just trying to find where those dang turn signal wires are inside the tupperware.

You found the post, thanks for digging that up. I'll be sure to add it to my index this time.
Don't be afraid to take the tupperware off. You could probably get to the wires with just the top dash off, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to take off the headlight section either. Just as simple as tracing the wires.

Ha, stripping off the tupperware can't be any worse that on my BMW K1200LT that I used to strip down annually! Just hoped to avoid the "learning experence" on the Burgman. It's a bit hard to trace the wires and they changed the '08 harness and routing as I examine the manual. Now, if that wiring diagram wasn't so small!

I found the two plugs for the right and left turn signals. I had removed the upper dash with the small cubbies, handlebar covers, but what really helped was taking off the nose piece above/between the headlights. It comes off very easy after -- there are 5 straight-in push connectors that can be pried up easily with a screwdriver and a piece of cardboard to keep from scratching the paint. I had taken off the windshield but that was unnecessary.
The turn signal plugs are cabled tied to another set of wires on the crossbar that easy to see with the nose off. The plugs for the turn signals have an oval cross-section. The other wires have a squarish connector -- assume those are for the mirror motors. Left turn signal is black for hot and black/white for ground. Right turn signal is light green for hot and black/white for ground.
I found it easiest to see and disconnect the turn signal plugs after I unplugged and pushed aside all of the other connectors under the removed nose piece.
One thing I did for testing was to use Posi-connectors that could be undone easily, unlike crimp connectors.

When I wired mine, I pulled the lamp assembly, fed the wire through the mirror post to under the dash. No need to remove any tupperware; only pull the dash cover. There's a small hole with a rubber plug on top that I popped out to help feed the wire (underneath the rubber dam). I fed the wire to the hole, grabbed it with some small/narrow needle nose pliers and then fed it down and to the space behind the dash. I then wired them to their own switch. I also have a couple of small lights for my controls on the same line. My riving lights have their own switch and line. Here are some pics: The new lamp socket from Pep Boys The hole where the plug came from to help with the feed: The switches: I hope this helps...Rb

I've been to AdvanceAuto and Autozone. Both say the vendor is out of the 84725 socket. Does anyone know of an alternate socket that will work, like for a flat base bulb? Thanks Mark

Just finished up wiring in a set of magic blinkers from custom dynamics. Here's a short vid of how they operate -> LinkI have these paired with a solid state flasher relay as well from custom dynamics.

Look for the 'Mystery Molex Connectors' mentioned in a new thread.

Yep, thats how mine work. But two years ago I had added two amber LED lamps under the mirrors as side running lamps. I have wired them into my Magic Blankers too. I had cut the black (L) and Green (R) wires on the mirror side of the stock connector and used bullit connectors so I can wire back to stock if needed. I then took 12v and ground from the power plug to run the Magic Blinker. I did not cut the ground wires. No need to fish a wire into the mirror housing when using Magic Blinkers. So, Paul, ya got it figured out?
