Although I'm not looking, that is a good price for basically a new scooter.

WOW. sounds like a great deal. But I'm in Chicago and I would either have to fly out to look at it and drive it back in the cold weather. I can do shorter trips but a 15 -20 hr drive? How much would it cost to ship it I wonder?

Well folks you can either take action & research or keep wishing. Plenty of resources on the web for shipping motorcycles. Sites like "FeeBay" also has a built-in shipping calculator under the SHIPPING TAB on most items. Chicago is a 13 hour trip from NJ, I drive it several times a year. A quick search in Google came up with a shipping cost of around $550 but that was just one. Not a bad price considering tolls & gas. And no, I will not deliver the Burgman in case you were going to ask. Didn't check on shipping to the UK but with the high cost of coverting a scooter to left hand drive .........

I would LOVE to have this scooter! Now if you still have it by the time I lose 35 lbs. and clean out our spare bedroom, I can buy it. LOL! That's the deal I made with my husband. And we live in York, PA, so it wouldn't be too bad of a trip to come and get it. I guess I have a LOT of work ahead of me before you end up selling it to someone else. I wish I didn't love to eat so much. May take me a couple of months to get it all off. I'll keep checking the posts.

For future reference, check uship.com. My brother just bought a Goldwing from my local service shop that had it listed on craigslist.org. Within 1/2 hour of posting, he had 5 bids to take it back to NC for him. All by motorcycle-only shippers who seem to hang in California to fill up and take back east. They have 44ft trailers that hold 12 bikes pulled by fifth wheel pickups -- they simply strap the bikes down the same you would do with a trailer behind the car. My local shop was so impressed they are going to encourage this as they constantly have offers from farther away for their used bikes.

I just sold my Majesty to a buddy in the Chicago area. He got lots of bids on uship ranging from 300 to 700+. He picked a 400 bid from someone with a large enclosed trailer who does nothing but ship motorcycles around the country. I'll be helping to strap it down this weekend and saying goodby to it. Sniff...
