Scratches on black/gray plastic

Postby Igor » Sat Feb 25, 2012 11:53 11

I have some scratches on the black plastic parts like the front box where the glove box is.
Has anyone tried to remove these kind of scratches.
I am thinking about sanding and then using some spray paint? Any suggestions what spray would be a good match?

These are unpainted plastic that are "Pebble Grained" and hard to match up if sanded. Lots of work but fine sand the whole part smooth, finnish with some 1500 grit, buy some "Plasticized" paint in a color ya like and shoot it. The paint must be a type that bonds to plastic and flexes without cracking. Krylon "FUSION" works well.
