I've done a bit of searching to find a exact match for touch up paint for my blue burgman 400. The Suzuki blue is called 'Pearl Dark Space Blue' and has a suzuki color code of Y7H. There are probably several vendors that can supply a match. http://www.color-rite.com/ lists all the burgman models by year and the colors available. Besides blue, they offer the other burgman colors (Metallic Sonic Silver/YD8 and Pearl Nebular Black/YAY) too. Paint is available in varying sizes/application methods including: Touch-up Pen, Touch-up Jar, Aerosol, 1/2 Pint, Pint, and Quart.

You said there are several places that you can get the paint.
Not quite. I said there are probably several vendors that can supply a match. The only one I am currently sure of is http://www.color-rite.com/. Given the exact Suzuki color code, it should be a lot easier to locate the paint.

Have you tried the paint from color-rite? Is it a good match?
I've not had a chance to try them yet. I just located the information and posted it. I have went by my local automotive store and purchased some touchup paint that was supposed to be a 'close match' but ended up being way too dark. Hence, my quest for the correct paint codes and an exact match. In the notes from ColorRite, it does mention you must apply a clearcoat for it to match. Of course, they only suggest using their own brand for chemical compatability.

Ted,

Yes they are a bit pricy. You might be able to locate a less expensive source or even find a local one. That's the reason I posted the Suzuki color codes. When I checked with my local Suzuki dealer, he didn't have any touchup paint available. He was supposed to be looking for it for me but I also started looking on my own.

As noted in another thread, the Burgman 400 blue is different from the 2003 blue. The new color is Deep Sea Blue Metallic and has a color code of YAR.

One online source of Suzuki paints is http://www.color-rite.com. Given the paint code, you may be able to locate a local retailer that can provide it also.
