    No problem, Mochi. Good that you're practicing - it's really important. Do you have a local Bike Night? Try participating in (or organizing!) some games there - slow races, riding through cones, that sort of thing. It's a fun way to practice. And you get to 300k miles just one mile at a time!

    Hi Mochi - I have put over 300,000 miles on motorcycles over the past 14 years and not a one of them has ever had ABS, so the fact that my Burgman 650 doesn't have it either doesn't bother me a bit. In fact, the Burg is actually easier to handle than other bikes without ABS since it is significantly lighter and it's center of gravity is significantly lower than any of my other bikes.

    So you really shouldn't worry about it too much. Good training, practice, and situational awareness will keep you out of trouble better than any mechanical system.
