Heated Jacket: Powerlet Atomic Skin

Well, did some research. Going to splurge and hope for the best with this:
Powerlet Atomic Skin Heated Jacket Liner With Wireless Remote And Controller

https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...and-controller

I like the wireless controller and heated collar. Hope it is worth it, relative to the somewhat cheaper offering from Venture, which has both of these options as well.

I hope this unit fits well under my Aerostich R3 Light suit. I guess I will find out soon (:

Dewalt makes one that last a lot longer and is cheaper.

I have a heated one for when it gets cold in San Diego, so basically one day a year

I looked at those and they were strongly considered, especially since I am already heavily invested in the Dewalt 20v system. However:

  • Those are designed to work with their bulky batteries, rather than being directly connected to the bike. That wasn't what I wanted
  • To be usable on road trips, you also have to travel with the bulky battery charger (been there, done that, not doing it again)
  • Their clothing is generally too bulky. I wanted something I could comfortably wear under my Aerostich suit
  • The hoodies are too loose and the vests have no sleeves
  • I don't think the sleeves on jackets are heated

With a proper motorcycle jacket, I can run it off the bike, or a battery backup like my Car Rover device. It's also much less bulky which is a big deal.
