I used to race Polaris snowmobile so got a bit of discount on there excellent clothing. Boot, bibbed pants, jacket, mittens and I bought one of the first modular helmets from Yamaha. There clothing is very rugged. I crashed at 70+, got knocked out and slid down the road face down for over 150 ft. My helmet was destroyed, I had a burnt nose, but the cloths held up and I still have them.
By the way I bought the modular helmet after this crash.

I wear Frogg Togg rain pants over a pair of Slider Kevlar jeans with the orange hip and knee pad inserts.
Anything that keeps the rain out is good for keeping the wind out - then wear your warm stuff beneath that.
My fleece lined hi viz yellow Occu-Nomex waterproof over-jacket (5x) keeps out all cold air - and permits 3 or 4 layers beneath - including a leather ICON armored jacket. THE absolute best winter riding apparel I've ever used for Ohio winters.

I used my winter Motorcycle specific trousers for skiing. I was/am a very very poor stupid skier so I needed as much protection as I could get. also wore my riding jacket with armor when skiing.

Great idea, DocPaul47,

You can certainly get up to scooter speeds on downhill skis; and if you wipe out and glissade like a mannequin across the snow into the pine trees (and/or granite out-crops), you're going to be d*mned glad of the armour.

Seen any bunnies on the slopes?

Let me ride 'til I croak.

Ski Pants for Riding?

Ski Pants for Riding?

Several years ago I mentioned the ski pants option to the scooter apron.
I have ancient ski overalls that I picked up when I lived in Minnesota.
I think I have worn them only 3 times during my last 15 years in Texas.

I will see if I can find the old link.

You can search for scooter leg covers or scooter aprons. Here is one detailed comment.
