suzuki side visors

Has anyone had any experience with these? I want to get something to help with the wind in cold weather. My boyfriend has baker built air wings on his Goldwing and they are fantastic! I will email them to see if they have something comparable for the burgman 400. In the meantime any help from you all would be much appreciated!

no replies .. ok i'll try and ans. with zero experience about the side thingy's

If they are designed well it will change the airflow away from your legs. I did something similar on my BMW GS. I put some (we call them wings) plastic pieces to protect the hands and torso and they do an amazing job keeping wind off me.. i wouldn't ride without them.

I'll be ordering the side thingy's very soon as the temp will be dropping shortly. hope this helps.. Hp

According to UPS, mine will be delivered today between 8am and 7pm.

I'll take some photos and let you know what I think. Maybe I'll take a ride with one side on and the other side off to compare.

No tracking number. I didn't order it online. UPS called and told me it would be delivered today, and needed a signature.

They came late today. I plan to put one side on and then go riding with it to see if there is a noticeable difference side to side. I was going to do that tonight, but it is storming out, so I'll wait until tomorrow.

Two parallel posts, so I'm copying to each...

There's two similar threads on this, so I'm cross-posting. (Mods - How about a merge?)

I put the left side on this evening, since it is supposed to sit for 24 hours before use. Lousy photos since they were taken at night in the garage.

Here are the parts, less the two clips I already had installed at the time.

Locating the lower bracket

Locating the upper bracket, which is not as shown on the instructions due to the US reflector. I estimated the center.

Both brackets in place

Left Side Visor installed

From the side (smaller than it actually looks when seated)

From the rear

From the front

Here is the gallery with the full size images if you want to see them. Just click on the thumbnail for a larger image, and then click on it and select "Original" for the full 2.5 MB image.

Tomorrow, if it isn't still raining/storming, I'll take it for a ride and compare left to right. If the lighting cooperates, I'll get some better photos, too.

I'm cross posting too

Why do you have to wait 24hrs before you can ride with them on ? Did you have to glue anything in place ? What's up with that?

Please DON"T crosspost!

Dual posts are counterproductive. So, please, post to one thread at a time.
