the biggest thing is easiest way there is majority highway from here which the pcx wouldn't be capable of comfortably or safely and backroads would run through some cities and not sure which parts are bad areas and what aren't. I have anxiety issues so I don't ride much city or expressways even in my car to be honest. Now I'm looking at 2 newer burgmans as the 2007 is at a dealer flooded with terrible reviews so I feel I'm going to steer clear of that one and the 2006. Found a 2012 and 2014, 2012 is from a good dealer, low miles and just over $4,1xx. Could find out about delivery but feel being over 130 miles it wouldn't be cheap. I drive a car but have possible access to enclosed trailer and my dads truck which is also an option, I just dislike asking for help from people.

For the little performance increase but decent mileage drop and the fact I ride one up, the 400 would be better for me. Plus I don't ride highways just run roads where everyone runs 60-65 mph for most part which on pcx is rough sometimes.

riding 60-65 mph I get around 67 mpg on my 07 Burgman 400

I've seen big motorcycles loaded up in the back of pickups but I would not recommend trying to load a scooter weighing over 400# and the low center clearance of the Burgman would require an extremely long ramp to prevent it grounding out coming off the ramp in to the bed and vise versa. My Burgman grounds out going over center loading on my utility trailer which is only trailer hitch high unless I back up to an embankment or put a block under the ground end of the loading ramp. All that said, sometimes it's just wisest to ask for help.

TMAX is a very nice machine -- in fact it is the only other scooter me recognize. If it fits you, i would say go for it.

If you get an 08+ Burgman 400, you won't got wrong. It will do everything you need or want to do. You can ride it coast to coast in comfort. Lots of storage space under the seat(very important). Extremely reliable & efficient. Easy to handle. Just shop around to get the lowest miieage bike at the best price.
IMHO.
Cheers!

I think I'm going to make the 2 hour drive today to check out the 2012 B400 with 1,600 miles for $4,100. Going to go grab a video showing off the pcx to use as a selling point without having to actually take it down there, test drive the B400 and if everything is good and I want it, try and get them to buy the pcx, and then buy the B400 for $2,000 cash or less plus delivery and pickup. Use cash as a leverage point as I feel most people would finance. Not sure how it'll work but thats how I'm going to go about this.

talked with the dealer on the 2012 B400 for $4,1xx...has a deposit on it and isn't availiable. Also wanted almost a grand in taxes, dealer fees and whatnot which I thought was a rip off and out of my budget and wouldn't budge on price(was before he found out it wasn't available). the 2007 with low miles for $2,999 dealer had bad reviews, was somewhat rude on the phone and doesn't want to pcx so that deal fell through as well.

Really nothing around here sadly, anything cheap is older style, from a dealer with poor reviews or they don't want to trade in the pcx or just too expensive and want top dollar. Looks to be like I'm gonna be waiting to get a burgman for a while unfortunately. Theres a more local dealer that doesn't charge dealer fees but doesn't really deal much with used stuff but could get new one for fair price but don't want to spend that much money. was hoping to stay less then 4,500 and to have them take pcx as well. Back to the drawing board.

Problem with being in rural area away from everything..not much availability.
Most stuff on craigslist seems to be 2004-2006.

I brought mine from a rural area - 750 smiles away from home. It's a very comfortable distance for the bike.

I must just have bad luck then lol. Gonna keep an eye on craigslist for awhile and see how that goes.

Found a 2008 with 12,790 miles for 2,800. New battery, rear tire, givi adjustable windshield. Looks like older man owned it by the looks of his hand in one of the pictures. its 3 hours away at just under 160 miles one way.

Just found another 2008 B400 less then 1,000 miles for $3,100. Idk how I feel since its basically just sat all its life. tires probably dry rotted, bad battery, fuel.

I know of a 2014 Burgman UH200A with just 250 miles. $2500. It belonged to the wife of the present owner. The scooter was tipped over in a trailer, small scratch on left front. Located in Big Rapids, MI. I bought the twin of that bike, totally satisfied, etc. Also includes some riding gear, cover, etc.

Thanks but the 200 will be too small I feel in the long run and that i'll get bored of it like I did my pcx. I did find a 2008 (the one in previous post with 12,xxx miles) in Belmont that I just emailed the owner and am awaiting reply.
