Re: Speed Blocks prototype - OPINIONS REQUESTED

This is what I have in the confirmation status for the package:

July 20, 2008 09:32:00 23323 Electronic Notification
So I don't think it has made it cross-country quite yet.

Re: Speed Blocks prototype - OPINIONS REQUESTED

OK - I just got the prototype sheet in and cut it into strips and layed it on the machine with scotch tape and snapped a few quick pics. I tried to find a sensible place for everything - with a specific bias to the places where I envisioned having some coverage - this included the front wheel cover and the tupperware underneath the foot pads. This is to have some visual "pop" even when the bike is in a slight lean/turn.

I wanted initially to run a strip *above* the Burgman 650 logo, but couldn't find a way to make it work. I actually really like what I ended up with, although I'd like to have a few additional pieces that are symmentrical for laying across the "butt" of the Burgman like the gold strip I have across the back.

You can view a gallery of images here.

Now, if I could only get this kit in Super Black...

Houston!

LOOKS GREAT!!! With regards to the Super Black, I received a Sample Set with an order I placed a few months ago. If you'll look at the Side Pics below, you'll notice the Black-On-Black, just under the seat. When the Camera Flash is on, you'll see it reflect White. I had been waiting for the Speed Blocks to come out for some time, but decided to attempt to make my own. I chopped up a Super Black Speed Stripe Kit, that's usually used for Helmets, and put them on my Burgy. Here are a few pics, so you can get an idea. I just used some of the strips, measured what I wanted to cut, and did the Installation using the "Wet Method", which allowed me to slide the decals on where I wanted. You can get the Speed Stripe Kits in any of the colors, if any other brave souls want to make the attempt. The Speed Blocks effect, give it more of a Sporty look!

Re: Speed Blocks prototype - OPINIONS REQUESTED

FYI - I've got the new kit in and spent an hour+ last night removing the gold reflectors. I'll be getting in from work early tomorrow, and will take that part of the afternoon to mount the decals with the help from my wife (artist in residence with the visual acuity of a hawk) and will take pictures and post them over the weekend.
