Question 2013 wet burgman 650 wont start

I bought a 2013 Burgman 650 with 700 miles on it with some issues. The previous owner left bike in an area water came up on bike less than 2 feet while parked. I changed the oil checked all the fluids every thing looks good no contamination from water. I turn the key press power and nothing I have the service manual just wondering if the water sent a message to the main computer and now I need to reset with a service program. similar to reseting your maintenance lights. All the lights work fine mirror motors all good bench tested starter motor cvt motor all seem stong battery fully charged kick stand up...sensor..there ...... any burgman owners have had similar problems thanks water never entered the exhaust or anywhere internally. I cant find any blown fuses also when I try jumping the solenoid I seems like it wot allow power to starter motor. thanks for any solutions. and where to purchase diagnostic hookup to my laptop. I bought one from china has not come yet..may not work I have a 2013 650 Burgman the only one I found goes to 2012 oh well $63 dollars. thanks again nace

The Lights are working, so that means you have power in the bike. Check to be sure the battery is fully charged and the connections are good. If the 12 volt battery volts drops below 9.5 volts when a heavy load is placed on the battery (as in starting), the battery is weak or bad. Then you push the start button and nothing happens means the trouble is in the starter circuit. Check at the starter solenoid, one big terminal should be HOT from the battery, verify that it is HOT. Then other big terminal goes to the starter motor. Use a piece of insulated heavy gauge copper wire and jump across the two big terminals, there should be a spark at the end of the wire, and the starter motor should turn. If you get NO SPARK on the end of the wire when you do this, that means the starter is not drawing a load, and you must investigate the other end of the wire at the starter and the starter itself. If you DO GET A SPARK on the end of the wire and the starter does not turn, that means that the starter IS drawing a load, but not turning, which means you need to look for a short or check the starter itself for lock up or short.
This procedure is the same as on any other vehicle, whether it be a car, truck, boat, motorcycle or whatever.

Jimmy, check that both the left and right brake lever switches have connection. You must pull in ether one to get it to start.
