UPDATE: I installed a Firefox update last week and the problem seems to have gone away - at least for now. I've only been on the site a couple times in the past week (my father passed away and I was busy helping mom get things arranged and settled). Fingers crossed that the update fixed the glitch.

Sorry to hear of your fathers passing. The hope for most of us it that they are in a better place now, but not knowing his history, I do wish you and your mom comfort.

Thanks! He would be the first to tell you he had a wonderful life of 87 years and saw places he never thought he's see. He served 4 years in the Navy, a year as a WV State Trooper, then 39 years with the telephone company (better pay than a trooper at the time and he wasn't being shot at, according to him - LOL). The Navy Honor Guard, Harrison County (WV) Honor Guard, and the Patriot Guard all paid honors and escorted him 20 miles to the Veterans National Cemetery in Grafton WV. He would have been very happy. It was a celebration of a great life. We'll still miss him.

Sorry to hear about this.

Arrived to the thread late. Is the site still slow for everyone? this is for desktop users

If it is, I have a couple of questions.

Status Bar (what is it holding on): the status bar is located at the bottom left of the screen when a site is loading. You can also us it to pre-screen the links you're about to click on.
Times: how long has it been waiting and what time of the day were you using the forum.
URL’s (areas that may be causing it): what pages were causing the lag?
Other: anything you might have notice when it was lagging.

Browser information: browser type and OS

I'm having issues when surfing this site on my desktop using chrome. It's slowing down my system. At work with a great internet connection. No issues until last week or two.

I have another window open that streams pandora, and when I browse the forum my pandora stops also.

I'll try to see what the download message is shortly. It will probably happen shortly.

Seems to be OK the past week since I did the last Firefox update.

All my computer info is back on post #1, so I won't bore you with it again. Must have been 2 program updates/versions that didn't play well with others.

Still quirky actions on the site using Windows 10. Slows down and stops allowing fill ins at random times.

Feb 2016 and have done more miles in 5 months than the previous owner did in 8 years.
Mar 2016 3 MC tires in 17500 miles then went Darkside - Federal Formosa FD1 165/60r 14 - now 8000 miles in and finding it far superior to the MC tyre's.

Well, it was doing just fine for a couple of months, then suddenly this week it slowed to a crawl and stopped several times. I keep getting the "script not running" message, and I basically have to shut it down and restart. Meanwhile, in the lower left corner is a message banner listing all the programs loading - ads, tracking cookies, Doubleclick, etc etc. Too much crap and it's not worth it at this point.

Hey there,

Can you provide us with a screen shot of what you see?
Also what browser and OS are you using when you come across these issues?

Richard.
