Re: Motobatt

I just ordered a MotoBatt from http://www.motobattbatteries.com/ directly. You can get the BurgmanUSA discount by calling 877-232-5878 or by contacting them by email: sales@motobattbatteries.com. They give a 20% discount to BurgmanUSA members (20% off of the current website regular selling price). Darren (darren@motobattbatteries.com) was great help to me.

I got the MBTX12U for my Suzuki Burgman 650 (2005). The ability to have extra set of terminals (2 pos, 2 neg) to ease attaching electrical accessories is a great idea, I don't know why others don't do that. Top that off with a 2-year warranty and very good reviews elsewhere on BurgmanUSA, this was a no-brainer for me.

My cost was under $70 (May 2013), with free shipping. I ordered it yesterday afternoon and USPS tracking shows delivery tomorrow (2 day free shipping, hard to beat).

I have had 2 MotoBatt's and each one lasted 8 months and were replaced reluctantly by the supplier. Each time it took 3 weeks to get the replacement to me and I had to pay all shipping costs (both ways). The 2 year warranty is NOT renewed with the replacement battery but instead is from the original purchase date of the original battery. 16 months from 2 batteries and 3 times paying for shipping and waiting a month and a half without a battery was costly for me. Hence I now have a yellow door-stop in my shop and a Yausa Battery in the Scoot!
MotoBatt customer service is poor and the batteries are marginal in my opinion. I hope you don't get a bad one or it will cost you twice as much as any other battery out there.
