Small Portable Battery Battery Jumper

A few weeks ago, someone posted a review of the new portable battery jumpers. I cannot seem to locate that post via search.

I'm seeking opinions on the best small portable battery jumper for my Burgman, cage, etc.

Well this is the one I have tucked under my seat. As a Ride Leader for our club I keep it handy in case someone has difficulty starting at one of our rest/meal/overnight stops. I've used it only once for it's intended boosting use and the other scoot started right up. I have also used it as a USB port to charge phones, gps, scala, etc.
I've got no idea how it would work on a cage because I've never needed it for that use.

I carry a Battery Tender Portable Power Pack under my 650's seat. It also has a USB charging port and LED light. It had no problem jump starting a friends Grand Marquis V8 when the lights were left on all day at the local mall. If it'll start a V8, I'm pretty sure it'll take care of anything on two or three wheels.

Many years ago I started out with nothing; still have most of it left.

Thanks, Doc Wheezer

I did order a XP1 Micro Start off EBay and was so impressed with the quality that gave it to my Harley riding son who always seems to have bad batteries.

I have another on order for myself.

The benefit is that you don't need another vehicle to make the jump. The reviews on the thing are exceptional.

Your Welcome gec343.

The only words of caution I have for the, Anti-gravity's PPS units is. Follow the instructions to the letter and most importantly, Beware buying from Ebay and Amazon
A lot of knockoffs (counterfeits). In the past Anti-gravity has said they don't sell to outside vendors.

The back story of my introduction to Anti-gravity's PPS units, previously posted Feb. 2015
A friend of mine sells used cars and carries one of those Antigravity power packs when he goes to the auction. He has used it to jump start multiple trucks and cars in a single day. His son got for him, because the son was tired of having to lug around the heavy jump start battery pack. The father said he would have NEVER believed something so small would work so well. Next thing on my wish list.

Technology is a changing.

Time to get ready to welcome 330,000 people for NEW YEARS EVE IN LAS VEGAS. I'm glade I live out west in the foothills, away from the strip.

Merry Christmas and have a SAFE New Year.

So its a lithium Ion Battery.

Given the amount of starts they attempted in this video http://themicrostart.com/products/micro-starts/xp1/ it is obvious that one 1/4 of the size would be more than enough for several starts of a burgman.

Shame they dont have one..................yet.

Oct 2015 purchased 2007 Phantom Grey Metallic AN650 - 7000 miles
Feb 2016 and have done more miles in 5 months than the previous owner did in 8 years.
Mar 2016 3 MC tires in 17500 miles then went Darkside - Federal Formosa FD1 165/60r 14 - now 8000 miles in and finding it far superior to the MC tyre's.

Another thought, Lithium Ion and LiPo batteries dont like to be stored with a full charge. This from a marine/cruising yacht perspective.

That being the case I wonder if the battery will still be OK after pulling it out after a couple of years of storage on the day that you need it?
