LeDude's Burgman Center

I'm new at this Forum and also a new Burgman owner(Have had another scooter for two years). The point I want to make is the wealth of information available at this site(Its mind boggling)! What a fabulous job!!! I just wished there was a site like this for my 400. I'm sure a lot of the info is the same. Thanks for all your hard work!

LeDude is a member here on Burgman USA, so many are familiar with his wealth of information. We're just glad he has chosen to use his super powers for good, instead of evil.

Re: LeDude's Burgman Center

One question I do have about his info concerns torque settings. Does anyone know if most of the settings on the 400 are the same as on the 650? Specifically the oil drain plug. Would there be anywhere I could see a chart of all settings for the 400? I obviously don't have a service manual.

Engine Oil Drain Plug: 16.5 ft-lb / 23 N-m / 2.3 kgf-m
Oil Filter Cap Bolts: 7.0 ft-lb / 10 N-m / 1.0 kgf-m

Until you get the service manual there are good tutorials in the "HOW TO" section.
Here are couple of examples:

Here is one of the best places to get a service manual:

Re: LeDude's Burgman Center

BurgmanUSA.com, Ledude's Center and Colchicine 's Burgman Knowledge Base are the clincher for me that I have made the right Scooter choice.

Re: LeDude's Burgman Center

I gotta send out a big MAHALO (thank you in Hawaiian) to LeDude and his awesome LeDude's Burgman Center.

LeDude, you are da man! Thanks for all your hard work on that site.

For the amount that I would have spent on just an engine oil change alone at my favorite motorcycle shop, I was able to get some new tools, supplies, and parts, necessary to do an engine oil change, transmission oil change, and final gear drive oil change.

Get this I was even able to access the site on my smart phone so I didnít have to print out anything. Just remember to clean your hands before touching your phone.

Re: LeDude's Burgman Center

You'll find a lot of good info on the 400 also in TechArtGuy's "Lair". http://burgmanusa.com/gallery/TechArtGuy/

There's also a world of info in the "How To" section of the forum, viewforum.php?f=26.

The fuse panel is located behind the cover on the front of the bike below the windshield and above the headlights. A fuse is not likely to be your problem though as then you would not have low beams either.

The most likely reasons are (1) the high beams on both bulbs are burned out, (2) a problem with the dimmer switch or (3) a wiring problem. Of the three I would suspect burned out bulbs. First thing I would do is pull the bulbs and check them.
