Count me in on either...I'm in for a meet and greet in the DFW area and if someone organizes a weekend mini-rally I'm up for that too.

Well April has come & gone and it's May now. These last few days the weather has been perfect. Maybe at some point we can organize a meet & greet, a short ride or even a combo of the two before the heat starts to come on fast.

For medical reasons I'm not going to be able to ride for a couple of weeks but would be interested in getting together with other DFW area riders.

Buffalo, would it be better for you if we settled on a place that is toward the eastern side of the metroplex, so you don't have to travel very far? Cycle Gear Plano, Rockwall, Cedar Hill, Waxahachie or others nearby?

Would it be better, sure. But that won't affect my decision to attend. As long as it's not a weekday in the afternoon I can ride to most anyplace in the area. Don't like to ride into the metromess during the afternoon rush hour or after dark .

Okay then. Let's do this. Any DFW area riders out there up for a meet and greet on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon? Any suggestions on where to meet up?

Just throwing this out there, we could meet up for lunch at Rocket Café in Rocket, take 983 over to 660 down through Crisp to 34. After that, I'm open to suggestions. We could either head over to Kaufman and back up 175 or take 34 west.

On yeah....I'm in.

Rocket Cafe is a nice place to eat.

Are you talking taking 983 up to Ferris to catch 660 there?

From 34 we could go toward Kaufman until we reached 1181 then take it through Telico and back around to I-45 in Ennis. From there we could take 879 up to 813 and 813 through Palmer back to Rocket. That would make about a 70 mile loop and take around an hour and a half. It would include some fun twisty roads too.

I often take FM660 from Ennis through Crisp on up to Ferris & west into Red Oak. I love that area as well entering Waxahachie from Ike to the east or going through Oak Leaf and even a nice leisurely ride down through Forreston & Italy. Those are my four favorite rides that I have discovered since I moved here but I also am familiar with Palmer and Rocket and am ready to go on the ride Buffalo suggests when you guys are.
