I can only laugh at some of the previous comments, however ABS brakes is like sex, you do not know how great it is until you have had it.

Sex is overrated.

Still, even with ABS if you are unable to hold a straight line while breaking, you will slide. I think. Not much experience on that topic. Thankfully.

Not very convincing. If the guy had been going slower for the conditions and/or not braking so hard, he would have been just fine.

ABS, helmets, seat belts, air bags, etc should never be mandatory. Better to let people have the freedom to make their own choices.

In related news - spent times of time in my garage replacing all four wheel sensors on my Jeep. Fucking ABS light is still on. Now I will have to take it to the dealer and spend God knows how much for the dealer to make it go away.

Well, since most people have a degree of good sense and would want their vehicles to have all that beneficial stuff you want banned - it would be cost prohibitive for a manufacturer to set up a separate assembly line just for you & your fellow one-percenters.

Also, save you F-bombs for you-tubing.

please point to any post where I said I wanted something banned.

You know, it really isn't true that you have to either make something mandatory or ban it. Except in a fascist society of course.

any riders aid is good. specially for those who just want to ride and forget about anything. for others who are more experienced generally disable ABS as prefer to have full control of the machine.
