It can happen on any bike my friends. It's just how it works. Screws back off, my grips did it once when it was brand new. I retightened them down and have put another 6k without an issue.

I wouldn't waste my money on this gadget. I bought one and had the dealer install it for me. In no time at all, the bar end started to work itself out. I got tired of having to tighten the thing and finally removed the gadget. I think that I could have just pulled it off with my hand and taken the helmet if I was a thief.

Um....fasten chin strap. Use bungie cord through chin strap to connect to pretty much anywhere on bike. Total cost, on the order of 99 cents.

I set my helmet down next to my bike on my gloves so the liner won't get dirty. Or use the factory locks when I feel they're needed.

On the FJR I just replaced one of the license plate bolts with a small screw hook. For short term where security is not an issue I just hang the helmet on that hook with the D rings. Cost less than a dollar and is very convenient. Plus, I get some comedic relief from it. If someone asks what it's for I tell them it's in case someone needs a tow.

I'd rather hang it on the back where it's a little less likely to get knocked off by someone walking by.

Retired. Finally found something I'm qualified for.
