lightweight removable saddle cover?

I've been unable to find an aftermarket saddle cover for my Burgmans. I'm talking about simple, lightweight (nylon?), removable cover I can put on the seat on damp days or dewey evenings. My wife's Vespa came with one, and I know there is a Yamaha aftermarket cover for their TMax. Has anyone seen anything like this?

Just Google "waterproof motorcycle seat covers".

Re: lightweight removable saddle cover?

unless you have a leather seat, covering the OEM seat isn't really going to do anything for it except make you slip forward/side ways when it is wet, especially if you use a simple nylon seat cover... you are better off without one as the OEM seat material does a good job against slippage.

Howeve, if you really want one, you can very easily make one yourself.. just buy enough of your favorite material to cover the seat, including the middle section... cut it to size lenght and height wise, then run some elastic strech at its base which should be shorter by a few inches to help keep the cover in place...

I don't believe the cover wanted is for use while riding but one that you use to cover the seat when you are not riding.

That is a Cool Ass seatcover and it will reflect the sun and keep the rain off. Easy to remove and store when not wanted. And the price is right.

Re: lightweight removable saddle cover?

Heat reflective and UV resistant? You bet your ass. Tests we ran on sunny 100° days in Dallas (hot, but at least it’s humid here...) proved that an unprotected saddle hits temperatures upwards of 150°.

Not just to keep dry it will reflect the sun and keep the seat cool.
