Denali Sound Bomb Air Horn

My Denali Sound Bomb is now fully installed in my TMAX and operated from the stock horn switch. It is wired up to the aux fuse box I installed too.

In these photos, the compressor and relay are mounted on top of the dash cubby box, and the horn itself is mounted mounted below it.

It came with way more hose than I needed, but I didn't want to cut it so I curled it around and zip tied it.

I am hoping it doesn't interfere with the nose cowling going back on.

I also still have my loud Stebel horn installed - so they both go off at once. Has a nice sound to it! Loud too - which is the point.

Well, it is pretty easy from a technical standpoint. Once you have the nose off, most of the work is deciding where you want to put it. But I did it while in the course of doing some other things. I also complicated it by keeping my existing horn rather than replacing it - more wiring was required to do it this way.

I had to take the nose off the TMAX to replace a headlight bulb (turns out bulb was fine - previous owner's wiring mod failed). While doing that, I am taking advantage of the fact that the nose is off (a lot of work) to do some things I had been wanting to do:

- air horn
- upgrade headlight bulbs
- additional USB port
- aux fuse box
- additional lighting
- replace front blinkers with Euro style LED winkers
- run power to under seat area for various things

During this garage time, I'm also doing stuff with rear end lighting. I figured I might as well, since I have it sitting idle while waiting for winkers from Italy anyway. I'm expecting maybe three weeks of total downtime. It has already been one week.

Because I already had the first horn. I suppose I COULD have just tossed it in the trash, but since I already had it, why not use it?

Besides - with this option, I have the ability to switch off the air horn and only use the electric horn. That could come in handy in a variety of situations with respect to law enforcement issues.
