Windshield, Clear vs Tinted

POLL: I'm about to take advantage of todays Clearview 25% discount. I'll be ordering the Large w/vent, but seeking opinions on Clear vs Tinted. All opinions appreciated.

I've got a clear on my bike and a friend has a tinted. I can't see enough difference in them to matter much.

I vote clear being mine covers over my line of site and I look through mine. I ride at night a lot from my office to my house. In the way I go you never know if there is something like ladders or construction things in the way that have fallen off trucks.

Clear. I wear sun glasses and don't want the additional tint at night.

GEC, if you ride at night stay with clear, day riding mostly the gray can be helpful in lot of sun.

Well, I submitted the order a couple of days ago. I do little night riding, if avoidable. Anyway, I ordered a Medium non tinted, with vent. Looks like they are behind on orders, since 15 day waiting period. I originally ordered a tinted Large, but changed the order to a non tinted Medium. Man, Clearview's customer service is top notch. I have a Clearview on my Gold Wing and couldn't be happier.

Yesterday, installed my new Clearview Medium, non tinted w/vent. Gotta say, makes a world of difference, in fact like a different bike, cut wind noise by at least 50%, almost Gold Wing like wind protection. The windscreen was packed well, clear instructions, etc. I attempted to mount it without reading instructions, but didn't realize that they provided new longer bolts, which were in packing envelope. The shield is flawless!

I just installed a XL tinted. I see very little difference in the clear and tint, but am hoping the tint will cut back a little of the sun's rays on the extremely hot days. I agree that the windshield makes a world of difference from the OEM and I definitely agree on the excellent service.

They do have great customer service and I love my tinted, vented, xl. I live about 80 miles from the factory so I picked up mine in person. I got to ride on twisting mountain roads on a mild autumn day and the gas was less then the shipping cost would have been.. I even talked to the guy that owns the company, I asked him if he was thinking about making leg shields for the older Burgmans. I should follow up on it.

Stock Burgmans scare me........

Givi V46 Tech top case with Givi quick release brake light kit, backrest and interior lighting kit, with an Admore tail/brake light.
Admore Bark Buster running/turn signal LED strips on front faring.
Kiwi Dave side case racks with Givi E21 cases and Admore universal bi-color side case kit.
Clearview XL, tinted and vented windshield. Pyramid Plastics Extenda Fenda. Kaoko throttle lock. Bestbackrests.com backrest.
Admore large tinted smt led light bar. RAM GPS mount for Tomtom XXL. Oznium turn signal reminders. Stebel Air Horn. OPT7 Fluxbeam LED headlight bulbs. K&N Air Filter.
Dryspec Tool Tube mounted on left side case rack. Denali DM Micro Lights mounted on the front fender.
