Kawasaki J300 scooter???

http://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-r...aki/j300/2014/

Seems to have come out in 2014 maybe?
Looks like a Forza or burgman (which I understand why),
but I like the dash on it even though analog - at least it's large
Has 27hp - one cylinder 4 valve compared to 24hp of Forza. Burg400 has 27hp.
gets up to 150-160km/h (downhill) 90mph
sounds like a lawnmower
unadjustable rear suspension ?!?!?
13 liter gas tank .. nice
high road clearance
4-way hazard lights
one full helmet storage (towards the rear) + some stuff up front - sigh
"The J300 claims a curb weight of 421 pounds and a 3.4 gallon fuel load."

"Team Green is keen to note the styling on its new scoot, as it’s the only thing making it an authentic Kawasaki. Otherwise the J300 is actually a dressed up version of KYMCO’s Downtown 300i. "

So... is this the kymco downtown 300i??? I see it is the same engine.

This scooter looks nice enough but it lacks the feet forward option that makes the Burgman such a comfortable ride.

Yes it is quite similar to the Piaggio Beverly in its seating position. That said the Beverly was quite comfortable to ride despite the lack of the feet forward position.

1300?!?!?! lol can you imagine a 1300cc scooter? well, based on weight gains, would probably be 1500 pounds.
Maybe at that point we'd get back up to 60liters of storage?

Simply put it's a green Kymco Downtown 300i. A good bike by all tell; although some report the seat to be a bit short with that big built in backrest.
I applaud Kaw for testing the waters, & they did pick a good scoot to work from, & in it's Kymco trim it's already available in this neck of the woods.
It is on the short list I've considered moving to in order to simplify life by just having one scoot vs. the burger and something small.
I think the new Citycom's a bit sharper, but sadly SYM (Alliance) doesn't have anywhere near the presence Kymco does in this country.

In the Ducati and Audi designs the step-thru has almost disappeared; as long as its still a scooter the insurance benefits would remain. But the tire sizes look a lot more substantial and cushy.
