A slide out at a lower speed is much better than a high side at higher speed, but falling always sucks! Glad he got back up only with some pride damage. We rarely wore appropriate safety gear when we rode like that back in the day. Like how he slowed his pace after his little spill too. Rider AND vehicle limits, live and learn them.

It may also have been the first time he ever rode this scooter. If so, he did a very good job but was stupid to have ridden an unfamiliar machine that fast until he was more used to it.
