Kymco 300i DT dead battery

Hi, my scooter has been in the garage 2 years now and has a dead battery. Now with it totally wiped there is no power to open the seat with the key. I tried a 12v batter jumped to the power port but that just blew a fuse trying to open the seat. I can't find anywhere a way to get to the cables etc. for manually opening, any help out there?

Thanks in advance.

Just guessing--but I bet you'd have better luck getting an answer if posted on a Kymco forum...

First thought after reading the caption -- it's a diesel.

The battery most likely will need a replacement.

Seat latch is mechanically operated with the key.....not electrical for obvious reason which you discovered. Taiwanese

I assume he is wrong in saying the seat needs power to open w/ key? That would be crazy.
