Burgandy Burgman 250 in the uk

Hello all!

I'm zero, aka Biggles, located in the midlands of merry old england.

A friend of mine as found a burgman 250 for me which I've only got to go and pick up

A couple of years ago I owned this..

Honda cn250, I fitted a huge topbox and it was really a terrific bike, I'd love another but they seem to be rare now.. I rode it in the wind rain and snow (and occasionally a nice day or two) and it was faultless from the off. I really liked the bike but got rid of mostly because I missed gears, kickstarts and all the other rigmarole involved with a "propper" bike. (I had owned several "propper" bikes before this, 3cx's a transalp, bros, gs500... you get the idea..)

That propper bike went eventually, two others also.. Now I own

This

(mz etz250)

and this

(cb400/4)

My plan was to commute on the cb400 and mz, but the cb is really far too shiney and really not all that comfortable, so now its being sold on ebay. I was going to "fix" it but it'd been worthless after that and a winter of salt would have finished it off!

So now my plan is to get myself another uber scooter (can't seem to find a cn at the mo ) and use the mz when I'm in the mood and the burgervan when I want to get to placements or uni without any fuss/drenching.

I'm very much looking forward to push button starts and weather protection! while its quite nice now it'll not be long before a few months of rain addled misery! The cn was wonderfull in that sense, the burgervan has a big ugly shoes to fill but I'm told they are superior in a few ways, cant wait to get on it and go for some bimbles!

Anyways, hello all!

Welcome! I'm sure you will hear this from others, but be sure to examine the knowledgebase There is an amazing amount of useful information there.

When you get you bike, please post a photo for us.

Welcome. Nice collection of bikes you had. So they have a 250 version of the Burgman over there, that's cool.

That's funny, I didn't realize there were nice days (as far as weather) in England.

Thanks, will get pics when it arrives

(although I'm not sure how I'll be fitting it in the garage with 2 and a half other bikes!!!, just been measuring up, its huuuggeee! )

Yep, they are a heck of allot cheaper than the 400, tbh I'd have prefered one but there you go.. its got more power than the cn i used to have so hopefully it'll do just fine.

So I've been told! allthough I don't believe em

(it was about 80F last week! thats pretty high for the uk.. the burgman is all about getting ready for winter, which is pretty miserable! I'm looking forward to getting through it reasonably warm and dry on the motorsofa!)
