Safe ridin'.
We do indeed have nice riding in the area, and a temperate climate which supports 4 season riding. I love it here. (When asked if I'm from Texas, I give the answer acceptable to most Texans: "No, but I got here as soon as I could.")

Thank you for the heads-up on the Primary Stopper Bolt. I had not yet run across the issue in my researches. Looks more sensible to buy the updated replacement part and install it, than to take the time to pull and inspect....

Anyway, thanks to all for the warm welcomes.

Mike

I have family outside Steamboat Springs, so I've already mapped it on Google...18 hours IF I obey speed limits. But I'll likely wait for those two weeks in July when the roads are *reliably* passable.

Nicest thing about Austin: it's not Houston. Not that we *never* get humidity, but mostly it's pretty reasonable. And as all motorcyclists know, the evaporative cooling principle is God's gift to humanity.

Welcome from Fort Worth. I'm jealous of the great riding you have in that area.

Howdy there Texas newbie

Yeah, welcome from the Great White North. Can I ship you some snow? Or some fantastically fresh air?

Brownsville, across from Matamoros, is the only Texas I've experienced - that would be South Padre Island.

Let me ride 'til I croak.

Welcome from down here in Humiston where we say, If the mold don't get ya, the mill-do.
Be sure to check out the Texas Scooter Rally in Fredricksburg on June 9th. See ya there. 🇱🇷
