new scooters for '17 or beyond

Any new rumors about new scooters in the 250cc and above class headed for the US in 2017 or beyond and besides all the Honda adventure stuff?

Other than the 2017 X-ADV Honda, I've seen nothing. I'm waiting to see if Honda replaces the Silverwing, but if not, I will be buying a new 2016/2017 Burgman 650. I love this Burgman, but dislike the local Suzuki dealer which is the reason for wanting a Honda maxi scooter. My local Honda shop is first rate! At age 74, I want one last new maxi scooter, equipped properly, etc, etc.

Thanks for this post. I love rumors about scooters!

Kymco has the K50 concept scooter. Celebrating 50 years of Kymco manufacturing scooters . Model name might be AK550 when released. Supposed to be like the T-Max with parallel twin maybe 550cc engine.
Don't know if it's coming to North America. Hope so!

Here in the Uk, Suzuki has summoned all it's dealers to a very large meeting in November '2016'. They are to announce many new bikes. Rumour has it that an announcement will be made about the 400 model and mods to the 650 to make it Euro 4 compliant. I'm wondering IF we will be told about a brand new 400. Dealers are hearing all sorts of stuff at the moment but Suzi is remaining tight lipped as always about what it says to the public.

It would seem the 400 is due for an update but hopefully they wont screw anything up. Improved ease of maint access is about all they really need, unless a major change to improve suspension, but there never seems to be any interest by any manufacturer to make maint access easier.

The 400 could do with some tranny upgrades; a wet clutch and/or an ECCVT would be awesome. But I'd settle for one that just didn't need deglazings so often. The rest of the bike is pretty much perfect, for what it is. I doubt they'd up the engine size. What would be the point? There's several 500s on the market, but few 400s. They'd be upgrading into competition.

It could use new styling too. I guess we'll find out in November.

My 08 400 just turned 19k miles. I'm planning on riding it into the ground. Suzuki, PLEASE don't temp me with a new model! You already got me with my upgrade to a '14 650 - don't make me do it again.

Considering the wailing over the 650's SECVT, I think adding one to 400 would shut BUSA down. Whatever happens, it will be evolutionary, like the 650 update. There just isn't enough competition in the segment for Suzuki to justify big engineering changes.
